Two million people in the country are at risk of arsenic pollution

We always had the hazard of polluted water. With the addition of arsenic problem with it, the situation has become more dangerous. People from a large part of the country are facing severe health risk due to excessive presence of arsenic in water. According to an estimate, two million people in Bangladesh are at risk of arsenic pollution.

However, it is a matter of concern that almost half of Arsenic affected people in the country have remained in the Chittagong division. In addition, the rate of arsenic infection in the district and upazila level of the department is also rising upwards. According to sources in Mirsarai Public Health Engineering Department, there are now millions of families in the upazila where the risk of arsenic is at risk. In most cases, due to lack of proper drinking water, the level of arsenicosis is increasing day by day. It has been alleged that there was no arrangement for identifying patients with arsenic disease in the area of tuberculosis in the area for more than a decade or in the area.

Identifying even the risks, in the last 2002-03, about 13 thousand tube wells have been replaced with reddish red light, but now it has been eroded.

According to experts, there is always a small amount of arsenic in water. But whenever this level becomes more than normal, it creates symptoms of various diseases in the human body. According to the World Health Organization standards, if water is 10 micrograms arsenic in 1 liter of water, then the water is identified as polluted. The reason for arsenic pollution is primarily geological.

As such, due to excessive groundwater withdrawal, such pollution can be done, the geological features of the Gangetic delta are also responsible for arsenic pollution. Although the prevalence of arsenic in coastal areas is less than that of other regions, its contrasting images are seen in Bangladesh. So once the tube was preserved in the country as a safe water source, the old method is now advised to purify the water on the ground surface and purify it.

Arsenic is harmful for public health. Apart from arsenicosis, arsenic is also susceptible to cancer. Apart from it, it is also very risky for kidneys, liver and heart. It is undoubtedly a difficult matter to keep it useful, even if there is no arsenic in the damaged levels of rain water. For this, most people rely on underground water. Compared with shallow tube-well, arsenic in water in deep tube wells is limited. Apart from that, we can also be safe from arsenic contamination by utilizing the water of the river-pond water.

For this reason, the way of purifying the surface of the ground should be done properly. Using arsenic insulation filters and resin methods of four chambers, water can also be released from arsenic. It is important to make it available to the public considering the widespread arsenic. Also, the arsenic testing kit also needs to be made available.
