North City Election: Atiqul Islam was nominated for the Awami League nomination

Businessman Atiqul Islam has been nominated as a mayor for the post of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC). The decision was taken at a meeting of the nomination board in local government election at Ganobhaban this night (Tuesday).
The meeting was held in the chairmanship of Awami League president Sheikh Hasina. Later, the party's general secretary and chief minister Obaidul Kader briefed the press conference.
He said, 18 candidates submitted nomination papers, including two women, to be present in the election. Atiqul Islam has been nominated as the nominee of the nomination board. He urged the people to work unitedly to win the boat candidate.
Earlier, after accepting the nomination forms, they were invited to Ganabhaban on Tuesday evening. Firstly, the BGMEA's former president Atiqul Islam and the development of airport roads, Vannel World's Abed Mansur, who were in charge of promotion, filed nomination forms for 18 Awami League candidates.
In response to Awami League's nomination, Atiqul Islam said that the nomination board's chairman Jananetrei Sheikh Hasina has nominated me to thank him for this. Let's all work together for the boat. That said, the general secretary of our party, 'the boat will be the mark of everyone.'
He said, 'We want to prove that the boat will be able to take the country forward. Inshallah, with the boat, will strengthen the hands of Sheikh Hasina to build a developed Bangladesh between 2021 middle income and 2041.
